Hallo Steven,

I forgot to say that you probably have to add the module Digest::CRC module to 
your perl installation, since it is no standard module. It can be installed via
CPAN or for ActiveState Perl on Windows with ppm.

and the mysql server has to be changed in my_win.cnf
and the database name and other configuration data can be found in
nlimport_win.conf.

There is a config switch: if the script detects that it runs under Windows, it 
uses nlimport_win.conf and my_win.cnf. It detects that it runs not under
Windows, then it uses nlimport.conf and whatever .my.cnf that is configured in 
nlimport.conf. If you remove the mysql_read_default_file=xxx from that file, it
searches for ~/.my.cnf.

The database name is the "fidonet" in the DSN string.
